been really having a hard time coming up with a render that's worthy of a DA sub- the lack of my usual tools in my hard disk contributes to my laziness, and apparent inactiveness nowadays- well- 24 hour gaming is the other factor oh well (blah, blah, blah).
this was done started as a random doodle in photoshop- just messing around with the wet media brushes (all done using the mouse-- i wish i own a tablet or something as it would make my life much easier) well seeing as i have no choice- i just started drawing random swishes here and there- trying to create the foreground of grasses you see here- pretty soon, it all came together- and i kind of like the result- so i decided to render a tree in vue. so i did and and i also added a patch of terrain for the middle part you see here-
then back to photoshop, mouse painted the sky which also is the final layer in this work- (well actually the sky consists of 8 layers blended in).
the finer details were the last to be added in-
then i made a copy of each layer i have and for every bottom duplicate of my layer i applied an underpainting filter and for the top layer i applied a dry brush so to make it a painted effect. then applied a different variation of the "z" effect- without the gaussian blur and using soft light ( instead of overlay to kill the colors a bit... (since everything is still to bright) i also did aged the pic a bit ... and here's the final result.
it's not a masterpiece or anything- but i actually enjoyed creating it- and at least- i finally managed to submit something after two years of inactiveness
as always comments are a pleasure to read and learned from so be sure to leave one
Nice one. I actually did wonder if you started using real brushes, because it does look a little like an oil painting. I do understand you though. I myself have loads of idea, but 15 hours work a day kind of leave you out of time and practise to do anything. *sigh*. Nice one though!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
